Happy 40th Anniversary to the Happy Meal

Happy Anniversary to the Happy Meal

Can you believe the Happy Meal is turning 40!! Do you feel old yet? I was 10 when McDonald’s released the Happy Meal for the very first time. I even remember having a McDonald’s birthday party at one point. To say I am a loyal McDonald’s lover is an understatement.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first-ever Happy Meal, McDonald’s is launching the limited-edition Surprise Happy Meal with some of its most popular Happy Meal toys from the last four decades. The Surprise Happy Meal will be available in more than 90 countries around the world for a limited time at participating McDonald’s restaurants beginning

Thursday, Nov. 7 through Nov. 11 while supplies last.

Here’s the exclusive toy line up

 Cowboy McNugget (McDonald’s): 1988

 Fireman McNugget (McDonald’s): 1988

 Hamburger Changeable (McDonald’s): 1989

Each Happy Meal until the 11th will have one of the toys listed above. The bag is white so you will have zero idea what toy it is until you open it. The bag even has the date the toy was released in the Happy Meal. If you ask me that’s pretty dang cool and exciting.

Of course I needed to celebrate this myself by hosting a small mo meetup at McDonald’s to indulge in my favorite fries! The kiddos all got a special Happy Meal and special toy to take home. McDonald’s is bringing us back to our younger days and I approve!

Thank you McDonald’s for allowing me to be a partner and for helping set up this fun mom meet up.

Don’t wait any longer, you have until November 11th to get your limited edition toy in your

Happy Meal.
