Valentine's Day Charcuterie Board

Charcuterie boards are probably my new favorite thing to create. You can be as creative as you want or you can do the bare minimum and it still looks like you were in the kitchen for hours preparing for your guest.

This Valentine’s day create a fun dessert / candy themed charcuterie board for your loved ones. My son and boyfriend kept picking at this board and I cannot blame them. I am going to give you the simple tools and guidance to make a FUN, DESSERT VALENTINE’S CHARCUTERIE BOARD.

First things first, you need a board. Honestly, you can buy a cutting board that you really like or the one I bought was $16.99 at TJ Maxx. Also search “serving tray” and you can use that for the board as well. They have SO MANY and they are so affordable. Amazon has some really good ones. I linked a couple for you here.

Another thing you will need are ramekins. You can find these at the dollar store or on amazon. I found the heart ones in the bulleyes’s section at target for $3 each but amazon has a pack for under $20.

What to add to your dessert charcuterie board

  • Marshmallows - I found the heart shaped marshmallows at Ross but you can get plain pink marshmallows at your local grocery store.

  • Cookies - You can get cute valentine themed cookies from a local baker, I got mines from my favorite cookie baker TreatsByBec You can also visit a local bakery for some cute valentine themed cookies. You can also get sugar cookies from the grocery store or better yet, bake your own. ( I would also try searching for valentine Oreos)

  • Chocolate - I found valentine M&M’s are walgreens but during the valentine season you can find them in your local grocery stores. One of my favorite things to add is lindt chocolate, they have valentine themed ones with pink wrappers and their regular milk chocolate is in red wrappers. Dollar tree had heart shaped chocolate wrapped in red wrappers.

  • Macarons - I visited my local baker friend, BellaBakery_TX for heart shaped macarons. I always encourage to shop local but I have heard you can find macrons at costco.

  • Gummies - TJMaxx & Ross are known to have themed candy. I found valentine themed jelly beans, watermelon rings, and gumdrops there. I also found Valentine gummy bears at walgreens for $1.50.

The board can have as much variety as you want. Of course, the more you add the more fun you can have with it but you can also make a very simple board and add cupcakes to take up more space or use mini cupcakes. Add your favorite sweets, make chocolate covered strawberries or add yogurt covered pretzels. This is also a great activity to do with the kiddos.

This is your creation and your way to share your love. Remember this is YOUR creation and you can do whatever sparks joy.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful and delightful Valentine’s day!
