Rodeo Ready with Cavender's
Houston, it’s RODEO TIME!
This is by far, my favorite time of year. I dust off my boots, and I get ready for all the concerts, the fried food, but the one thing I really love about the Rodeo is putting outfits together. When people think of the Rodeo they think very western, bandanas, big belt buckles, but getting ready for the Rodeo can be as easy as a trip to Cavender’s for the best outfits and deals.
DRESSES
What’s easier than a dress? NOTHING!! A cute dress and a pair of boots or booties and you are rodeo ready. Cavender’s has a great selection of dresses for all body types, styles, and preference. I personally love a v-neck dress or an off the shoulder dress. A plain dress can be layered with a kimono, vest, or statement necklace.
Blouses
Sign me up for an off the shoulder blouse or some animal print blouses! I am not a huge print design kind of gal but their animal print blouses were my favorite. They had snake skin print, leopard print, and it pairs perfectly with turquoise accessories. I actually purchased 3 out of the 4 blouses below because I couldn’t decide on which I liked best. The good thing about blouses is you can style it different ways and create more than one outfit.

SKIRTS
A trend that will never go out of style for me is an embroidered skirt with boots. The details in some of the skirts is so beautiful that for your top, all you really need is a plain blouse or t-shirt. With the Houston weather, there will be some sunny Rodeo days and there is no need to sweat in jeans, find a cute skirt and it can be styled in a variety of ways. Whether your style is a short skirt, or a long skirt, Cavender’s had a all the styles to help this gal out this Rodeo Season.
jeans
DENIM NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE!!
I was pretty surprised at the variety of denim jeans Cavender’s had. They has jeans with embroidered pockets, skinny jeans, jeans that had a hip flare, and just a good ole boot cut jean. I was happy to see they have a plus size section as well. They have different brands for your personal preference. I love a good pair of Wrangler’s.
ACCESSORIES
A good necklace will COMPLETE any outfit. A big western color that also stands out is TURQUOISE. You can invest in some cute necklaces and get anything out of your closet and it will have you western glitz and rodeo ready.
boots
Invest in a good pair of boots. I have had my Ariat boots for over 4 years and I will pick those boots over a sandal, sneaker, or anything that is considered comfortable. Ariat boots break in perfectly and I am serious when I tell you that a good boot will last you a decade. Besides Ariat boots, Cavender’s carries a variety of boots and booties. You can find great deals in store and online. I always recommend buying boots in the store because some boots fit different and you need to see how they fit with pants, and with a thick or thin sock. I also recommend getting a neutral boot. Don’t get me wrong, I love a boot with designs and flare but a good neutral boot will go with ANY outfit. In all of my personal photos I have my Ariat boots on. Don’t think about it, JUST BUY THE BOOTS :)
